Announcing sponsorship of record-breaking summer swim
We are delighted to be sponsoring a group of intrepid Henley women in their record-breaking attempt to swim the Bristol Channel from Ilfracombe in Devon to Swansea in South Wales this summer.

As well as providing a cash donation to the Henley Mermaids chosen charities, we are supplying an essential training kit and applying our tech skills to promote this extraordinary swim to audiences all over the world.
Neil Duguid, Henley Information Systems Chairman says:
‘The Henley Mermaids are an absolute inspiration and encapsulate the bold and enterprising approach we bring to our own business’

The team of five will be the first all-female relay team to swim this route in a challenge that is expected to take around 22 hours. This crossing has previously been swum by just 4 individuals and one relay and the Henley Mermaids will be the first all-female team to swim this route.
The Mermaids encapsulate the bold and enterprising approach we bring to our own business and we are delighted to support this dynamic group of local women in their incredible challenge.
The Henley Mermaids are currently combining local open water training in the Thames with sea training on the coast.
Joan Fennelly who has previously swum the English Channel with the Mermaids, is passionate about fundraising for charity and overjoyed to have secured a local sponsor. She says: ‘The Henley Mermaids are really delighted to have Henley Information Systems as our main sponsor for our Bristol Channel relay swimming challenge this summer’
Our team is hugely grateful for the sponsorship of our kit as well as the hands-on assistance in the planning and execution of our campaign. The swim is in aid of brain charities and you can find out more about the swim, our involvement, and how to donate at www.HenleyMermaids.com
